The Foresight project Global Food and Farming Futures final report and executive summary provide an overview of the evidence and discuss the challenges and choices for policy makers and others whose interests relate to all aspects of the global food system.  The study into food security has called for urgent action to avert global hunger as the current system is unsustainable and will fail to end hunger unless radically redesigned.

Fabra plays a small but nonetheless important role in the UK foodchain, so this overview on food security is of relevance to all members, particularly in relation to the prospect of processed animal proteins being re-authorised for use in animal feeds in the future.
