Fabra members are at the forefront of animal by-product processing and food residue recovery, investing and developing essential new technologies and services.

For example, Fabra members collect and recycle vegetable oils, processing and refining them for use as feed stuffs and in the production of biofuels. They also process selected raw material from meat and poultry production for use as chilled, frozen and dried pet food ingredients.

Fabra members operate in highly specialised niche markets, for example, producing haemoglobin for use in aqua-culture, albumen for use in pet foods, and immunoglobin for the pharmaceutical industry.

And at times of crisis Fabra members provide essential secure disease control and waste disposal services to Government and its agencies.
