Fabra members are responsible for processing the majority of UK meat industry by-products.  The rendering process, which recovers valuable protein and tallow oil from raw material, remains the most biosecure method of processing meat industry residues.

Rendering sites are themselves environmentally sustainable, utilising the materials harvested to power the recycling process. And the products that are recovered become valuable raw materials in, for example, biodiesel, pet foods, pharmaceuticals, organic fertiliser, cosmetics and construction.
